Engineering Skillup Guide - 1-375
To start out you want to go see a trainer to pick up the trade. You have to pay 5 in order to become an Apprentice Engineer and to be able to skill up from 1->75.
Now, before we get started with the recipes, I want to point out how I have gone about making this guide. What I have done is to look at which recipes are the most profitable ones in Engineering and then chosen to skill up on those. If there are no profitable ones for a skill range then I have gone in and chosen then one with the least loss. Other things I have taken into consideration are the difficulty of obtaining the items needed in the recipe and also how you obtain the recipe itself.
The way I have calculated the profit/loss is by using the average price of components and of the final item using the numbers shown on Allakhazam. Therefore it is a good idea to check if the prices are close to those on your server before gathering the ingredients.
Quite often you will create items which you will be saving for later in order to use them in other recipes - this is to maximise skillups whilst using the least amount of ingredients.
A few of the uncommon items you create do not sell well at the auction house. I have noted when it is more profitable to disenchant these items and sell dusts, essences and shard then the items themselves. The recipes where this is relevant have been indicated like this: Sell (disenchanted). Get a friend to disenchant these items for you for a higher profit (or less loss) than selling them at the auction house. Another reason for selling the disenchanted result instead of the item, is that it does not cost to put up enchanting materials at the auction house.
This is a very easy recipe to start with - the Rough Stones are very easy to get when mining copper. As this recipe goes yellow already at 20, I suggest you get enough materials to use this recipe 40 times.
